This problem occured in one my site Kabisyo.com (www.kabisyo.com) this morning  saying 403 – Forbidden Error! You are not allowed to access this address. If the error persists, please contact the website webmaster.

If you are the webmaster of this site please log in to Cpanel and check the Error Logs. You will find the exact reason for this error there.

Common reasons for this error are:

1. Incorrect file/directory permissions: Below 644

In order files to be read by the webserver, their permissions have to be equal or above 644. You can update file permissions with a FTP client or through cPanel’s File Manager.

2. Restrictive Apache directives inside .htaccess file.

Yhere are two directives which can cause this error – ‘Deby from’ and ‘Options – Indexes’.

I tried to import a database to one of my site but a problem occurs saying “Premature end of script headers: php: Please check /  usr /  local /  cpanel /  logs /  error_log for the exact error.” I don’t know the reason why but I will try to find out this problem.

Maybe some of you are wondering why their is no upload section for your personal avatar in the WordPress forum plugin. Actually the truth is their is no option for that inside the WordPress application but I will tell you how to upload and insert your avatar in your forum.

Follow this simple steps:

  1. Go to http://www.gravatar.com
  2. Signup for a new account using the same email address you use in the forum you created or you join
  3. Confirm your account in your email address.
  4. An email verification will be sent to your email. Open it and click the link to activate your account ( it will look something like this, http://en.gravatar.com/accounts/activate/[i]email[/i]/[i]code[/i] ).
  5. You will be then on a page that suggest to finish creating your account. Choose your Username, this will be your login name when you get back. And also choose your password. Click signup.
  6. You should be here ( http://en.gravatar.com/emails ) by now. Click “Add one by clicking here!”, can be found bottom of that page. You will be then redirected on this page (http://en.gravatar.com/gravatars/new).
  7. Click which method you want to use for updating your avatar and follow below.
    a. “[b]My computer’s hard drive[/b]” :
    Choose an image which you want to use from your computer
    (don’t worry about the size).b. “[b]An image on the internet[/b]” :
    You must have a link of the image. it begins with the “http://” and ends
    with a “.jpg”, “.gif”, “.png”, etc. Paste it on the input box “URL”.
  8. Click next.
  9. Use the tool to select a part of the image which will be visible or “crop”.
  10. Click “Crop and Finish” when you are happy of your selection.
  11. Then, choose a rating for your Gravatar, by clicking one.

Today, I view my Kabisyo 90.7 Love Radio site and it broken, something is wrong with my site. My last page view on my site is last February 25, 2010 at about 12:00pm in the afternoon.

However this evening, I just noticed that my site is broken. So I asked some of my friend to visit my site if it is really broken and she said it is. So now I tried to find out what is wrong with my site. I am using a Joomla on my site so I need to see it first in my template.

Hope by the end of the day, the problem can be solve.

I think some of you encountered this problem when it comes to image linking, having a blue border in your image. Well blue is the default color for all the links, either it is text or images.

So how do we turned off the blue border color in our image link? well, that’s pretty easy. Follow the below example.

With blue border:

Without blue border:

<a href="http://www.elasticweavers.com/">
<img src="/images/logo.jpeg" style="border-style: none"> </a>

Using CSS, you can control the border of your image link. In the above example, I used the style inside the image document that is why there is a “style="border-style: none".

You can also used a separated style link outside your image document. Below is the example.

.noborder{
border-style: none;
}

And then reference that style sheet in the head element of your page:

Yesterday, It appears in my email that I just received a funds from Paypal Facebook Wishlist Promotion. So I immediately login to my paypal account and it’s true! I got funds coming from PayPal Private Limited ROW Masspay.

The funds is not big enough but I am happy to the funds sent to my account. I have some big news coming so I don’t want to spend the money in my paypal account immediately. I reserved it for my special occasions coming this year or next year.

By the way, here is the attached note message from the PayPal Private Limited ROW Masspay.

I know some of the Joomla users are looking for permalinks in joomla same with me. I’ve been looking this too several times but no luck until I found the solution from someone. I contacted him and asked how to put permalinks in joomla. Later I’ll post it here guys.

  1. 1. Login to your ftp and Rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess.
  2. 2. Make sure that Mod_rewrite is working. Check that the line shown below in the file “apache/conf/httpd.conf” is uncommented. If necessary, uncomment the line and re-start the Apache web server.

    3. Joomla Permalinks

  3. 3. In Global configuration, select yes to all three SEF options. The action of the three parameters is as follows:
    • Search Engine Friendly URLs. Converts the URLs from the native Joomla! format to the SEF format.
    • Use Apache mod_rewrite. Uses the Apache “mod_rewrite” function to eliminate the “index.php” portion of the URL. If you don’t want to use mod_rewrite, set this to “No” and don’t rename the htaccess.txt. The SEF URLs feature will still work. The only difference is that you will see “index.php” in the URL, for example, http://www.yoursite.org/index.php/faq.html.
    • Add suffix to URLs. Adds “.html” to the end of URLs.

After contacting the Siteground Help Desk Support, their respond is very quick! My site is up again and running. Below are their explanation why my database got an error.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting our Support Team.

I have informed our System Administrators about the problem. They have checked the MySQL service and found out that it was stalled. Thus they have restarted it and now everything is working normally!

After detailed investigation we managed to find out that the service was not working properly because its process was not started properly at all. In order to resolve the issue permanently we have created a server checker which will be monitoring the service and restart it if needed.

This problem happened to my 90.7 Love Radio site this morning January 11, 2010. My site works fine last evening but this morning something wrong in my site database. It says “Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL”.

I already report this problem to the Siteground Support to fix this problem soon so it can be up as soon as possible. I’ll post it again here their answer once it is done.
